Walking & cycling holidays

If you are participating in a walking holiday or cycling holiday we can collect and transport your luggage for you to your next port of call.

Our vehicles carry up to 8 passengers and we have a large amount of space for luggage.

We can collect you from your accommodation and take you to the start point of your walk and collect you at the end of your walk. This way, you don't always have to do circular walks.

And while you walk or cycle, we can handle luggage transfer to your destination.

Some of the most popular walks we can provide transport are:

The Herriot Way - A circular walk totaling 52 miles taking in Wensleydale and Swaledale in the Yorkshire Dales. Many participants do the route in 4 stages starting and finishing in Aysgarth.  Stage 1 Aysgarth to Hawes, stage 2 Hawes to Keld, stage 3 Keld to Reeth, stage 4 Reeth to Aysgarth.  Some choose to stay in the same accommodation for the duration of the walk, whilst others move on staying at their finish / start points.  James Peacock Private Hire can either move your luggage onto your accommodation or transport walkers at the start and end of the days.  If your looking for a guide book we recommend this (also used by ourselves) by Stuart Greig https://www.herriotway.com/rou...

The Swale Way - 80 miles over 6 days.  The Swale Way goes along the length of the River Swale in North Yorkshire.  Starting where it meets with the River Ure close to Boroughbridge and ending at its source at the head of Swaledale, where Birkdale Beck and Great Sleddale Beck meet.  If your looking for a guide book we recommend this by Stuart Greig https://www.pocketroutes.co.uk/the-swale-way/

The Yoredale Way - 73 miles over 6 days.  Starting in Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria following the River Ure through the Yorkshire Dales National Parks all the way to Boroughbridge.  If your looking for a guide book we recommend this by Stuart Greig https://www.pocketroutes.co.uk/the-yoredale-way/

We do get busy in the high season so advanced bookings are recommended.

We are happy to offer advice on logistics, gaining many years of experience running our family business here in Wensleydale in the Yorkshire Dales.
